Seattle painter James Brown’s oil and acrylic works exhibit an almost frenzied construction completely filling the canvas resulting in little, if any, negative space. Brown creates an organic flow of chaotic rhythm using a primary and secondary color palate, mixing figuration loosely with abstraction, often with bones and human forms as his subject.
